It is extremely important that each and every one of us "Brand" ourselves in order to become successful!
In Branding yourself, there are things that you should do, and things you should Absolutely NOT do!
We all want to get our opportunities in front of people! Whether it be our own site, or someone else's product or service, Business opportunity, or being in affiliate marketing.
What some of us fail to realize is, that when you promote someone else's product, or business opportunity, even our own, we are associating ourselves with it!
Let's say for example, you paid into a business opportunity, but failed to do thorough research on it, and people have gotten scammed by it, but you need to promote that business in order to make money.

What one should do:
#1- Do thorough research on anything and everything you promote! This will ensure that people don't get scammed.
#2- Build relationships with people / your customers or potential customers. This also goes along with #5, and will build more trust to your potential customers / subscribers / and existing ones.
#3- Give help in any areas of whatever you are promoting that you can offer or give. When you give your help, you show that you're not out to just make a quick buck from someone, but that do genuinely care.
#4- Show your name and face. This also helps to build trust, as your potential customers / subscribers / or existing one can see your face, and put a name to it!
#5- Build trust (This goes along with #1)
#6- Be Honest, and Promote with integrity. When you promote something with honesty, it shows your integrity, which in turn builds trust, which in turn build strong relationships!
#7- Promote what you know and believe in! You have to believe in what you sell! If you don't get excited about what you're selling, no one else will either!
What one should ABSOLUTELY NOT do:
#1- Don't "SPAM" people! You will be better at what you're promoting or selling if you build a relationship with people, rather than throwing your product or service in their face without them even knowing you or what you're about.
#2-Don't hide behind a false name with no picture. When you add your real full name, along with a face, people are more apt to trust you, and build a relationship with you, and therefore buy into your product / service.
#3- Don't be misleading! This one really gets to me, especially when I click on a link that is for something I want, only to find out it's not at all what I was looking for. Think to yourself for moment, "How would that make you feel?" Also when one is misleading, it can be associated with your name, and people will be less likely to trust you, or what you're promoting. Besides that, if you have to get customers by being misleading, why not try to sell whatever it is you're being misleading about? It's obviously something you think people would click on anyway. Think about it!
#4-Don't just promote anything, just to make a quick buck! Promote what you know! Promote what you have researched thoroughly, and looks good in order to help others. Promote things you ave used, or opportunities you have tried and that you trust!
I could probably go on about this, but I think you get the point!
All in all, if one promotes something, they are associating themselves with it! Plain and simple! If someone get scammed somehow by something you're promoting, you are more than like going to lose customers, and gain a bad reputation with them, or even within an entire community of people.
Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertising, and always will be.
Therefore, when you brand yourself to help your business, yourself, or whatever you are promoting, you are associating yourself with it!
Be sure to keep these things in mind when trying to Brand yourself, and building your business.
